Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is hiring a Deli Clerk to deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining a safe, clean deli area. You will assist the department in achieving sales and quality standards, and promote Kroger’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

You will prepare items for the deli, measure ingredients, label and date products, and respond to customer questions with recommendations, all while upholding food safety rules and assisting

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service skills.

• Strong work ethic in a fast-paced environment.
• Good math skills.
• Ability to obtain a current food handler permit once employed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items for the cold case, fresh pack, salad, and hot bars per customer requests.
• Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients using kitchen utensils and equipment such as fryers and slicers.
• Ensure all deli items are labeled, dated, rotated, and monitored for quality and freshness.
• Gain knowledge of deli products and respond to questions with recommendations.
• Provide excellent customer service and model suggestive selling techniques.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Perform essential functions as assigned by store leadership.
