Albertsons Companies is seeking a friendly Deli Clerk to help customers choose from deli meats, cheeses, hot foods, and prepared items while keeping service fast and courteous. You’ll slice, portion, and prep grab-and-go items, stock displays, maintain cleanliness, and monitor product freshness.

The role requires standing for long periods and availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Clear communication when taking orders in person or by phone.
• Experience preparing deli products, including slicing and portioning.
• Knowledge of deli meats, cheeses, and prepared foods.
• Attention to labeling, pricing, and accurate portioning.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining speed and accuracy.
• Stocking and merchandising displays and adhering to safety rules.
• Handling cash and processing transactions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Prepare hot and cold items and create grab-and-go options.
• Slice deli meats and cheese, portion products, and label orders.
• Keep displays stocked, clean, and visually appealing.
• Monitor product freshness and temperature and follow safety guidelines.
• Assist customers and handle orders with speed and courtesy.
