Job summary

Safeway in Auburn, CA is seeking a friendly Deli Clerk to prepare fresh foods and assist customers with deli meats, cheeses, hot foods, and grab-and-go items. You will slice, assemble, portion, and help keep a welcoming, fast-paced area.

You’ll maintain displays, monitor freshness and temperature, restock, and handle everyday transactions with accuracy. Prior food service or customer service is preferred, and the role offers weekly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to operate slicers and food preparation equipment following training and safety guidelines.
• Basic math skills for weighing, portioning, and transactions.
• Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Prior food service or customer service experience preferred.
