Safeway in Colorado is seeking a Deli Clerk to help prepare fresh foods, assist customers, and maintain inviting, well‑stocked deli displays. You will slice meats, assemble items, and create grab‑and‑go options while ensuring food safety and fast, friendly service.

You will also stock, rotate, and monitor freshness, manage displays, and support a busy,高 energy deli department in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and basic math skills are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to operate slicers and food prep equipment following training and safety guidelines.
• Basic math skills for weighing, portioning, and transactions.
• Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Prior food service or customer service experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare fresh deli items and assist customers in selecting deli meats, cheeses, hot foods, and prepared items.
• Keep deli department stocked, clean, and organized with attention to freshness and temperature.
• Slice meats, assemble items, and prepare grab-and-go options.
• Maintain displays and monitor product quality throughout the shift.
• Take orders in person and by phone, processing transactions accurately.
