Overview of Responsibilities

As a Deli Clerk, you will help customers make healthy food choices by preparing "fresh and easy meals" and providing excellent customer service in our Deli department. Your duties include arranging vegetables or sliced meats for made-to-order sandwiches, assisting with catering orders, and maintaining food safety standards. Opportunities for growth include learning about products, equipment, and customer service. We seek individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

To be a Deli Clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable and reliable.
• Have an outgoing, friendly demeanor and positive attitude for customer interactions.
• Be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Possess good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Answer phones and take special orders.
• Lift/carry products weighing up to 70 lbs. for up to 4 hours.
• Stand for up to 4 hours continuously, up to 8 hours per shift.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitize work areas.
• Operate slicers and cooking equipment safely.
• Adhere to safety, health, and regulations; obtain a Food Handlers permit.
• Work in different temperature environments.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
