New Leaf Community Markets, Inc. seeks a Deli Clerk to support daily operations in the Deli department. You will assist customers, offer product recommendations, and help prep, cut, wrap, weigh, price, and present deli items with care and consistency.

You will stock and maintain cases, handle made-to-order items, and participate in food preparation while ensuring quality and accurate pricing. A positive, service-oriented approach is essential in a fast-paced market environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsabilités

• Assists customers with product selection; shares product knowledge and makes recommendations based on customer needs.
• Prepares, cuts, wraps, weighs, tares, prices, and presents Deli/Prepared Foods products.

• Processes customers’ made-to-order and special order items accurately and expeditiously.
• Assists with food preparation and production.
• Stocks, rotates, and faces products with attention to product quality and expiration dates.
• Receives and unloads merchandise; checks quality, count, and condition. Communicates any issues to management and/or the merchandising team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Deli Clerkis responsible for providing service that exceeds the expectations of customers by performing the following duties (other duties may be assigned):

• Prepares Deli/Prepared Foods department for store opening and closing.
• Assists customers with product selection. Shares product knowledge with customers.Makes recommendations and suggestions based on customer needs.
• Prepares, cuts, wraps, weighs, tares, prices, and presents Deli/Prepared Foods products.
• Stocks and maintains Deli/Prepared Foods cases and stations.

Education and/or Experience

High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the Deli Clerk is regularly required to stand for long periods; walk; frequently use of hands; hands to finger; and handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The Deli Clerk occasionally is required to reach with hands and arms. The Deli Clerk is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The individual must frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and color vision.
