Responsibilities

As a Deli Clerk, you will help customers make healthy food choices by preparing "fresh and easy meals" and providing excellent customer service in our Deli department. Your tasks include arranging vegetables, slicing meats for sandwiches, assisting with catering orders, and maintaining food safety standards. There are ample opportunities for growth and learning about products, equipment, and customer service in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, or an acceptable combination of education and experience in grocery, restaurant, or related fields.
• Dependable, reliable, and outgoing with a positive attitude.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders.
• Lift/carry up to 70 lbs. for up to 4 hours, and stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area.
• Operate equipment safely and adhere to safety and health regulations, including obtaining a Food Handlers permit.
• Work in temperature-controlled environments (cooler and freezer).
• Other duties as assigned.
