Responsibilities

As a Deli Clerk, you will help customers make healthy food choices by preparing "fresh and easy meals" and providing excellent customer service. Your duties include arranging vegetables or sliced meats for sandwiches, assisting with catering orders, and maintaining food safety standards. Opportunities for growth include learning about products, equipment, and customer service excellence. We value individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

To qualify as a Deli Clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable and reliable.
• Be outgoing, friendly, and positive, with good communication skills.
• Be flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Be able to answer phones, take orders, and lift/carry up to 70 lbs. for short distances.
• Stand for up to 4 hours at a time.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the department.
• Operate slicers and other equipment safely.
• Adhere to safety, health, and regulatory standards, and obtain a Food Handlers permit.
• Work in cool and freezer environments as needed.
