Responsibilities

As a Deli Clerk, you will help customers make healthy food choices by preparing "fresh and easy meals" and providing excellent customer service. Your duties include arranging vegetables, slicing meats for sandwiches, assisting with catering orders, and maintaining food safety standards. Opportunities for growth include learning about products, equipment, and customer service. We value individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, or an acceptable combination of education and experience in grocery, restaurant, or related fields.
• Dependable and reliable
• Outgoing, friendly, with a positive attitude and good communication skills
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders
• Lift/carry up to 70 lbs. for short distances, stand for up to 4 hours continuously
• Perform general housekeeping and operate equipment safely
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations; obtain a Food Handlers permit
• Work in different temperature environments (cooler and freezer)
• Other duties as assigned
