Overview

Responsibilities

As a Deli Clerk, you will help customers make healthy food choices by preparing "fresh and easy meals" and providing high-quality customer service. You may arrange vegetables, slice meats for sandwiches, or assist with catering orders, all while maintaining food safety standards. Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, or an acceptable combination of education and experience in grocery, restaurant, or related fields.
• Dependable and reliable
• Outgoing, friendly, positive attitude, and good customer interaction skills
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders
• Lift/carry up to 70 lbs. for up to 4 hours
• Stand for up to 4 hours continuously, totaling 8 hours per shift
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitize work areas
• Operate slicers and cooking equipment safely
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations; maintain a Food Handlers permit
• Work in different temperature environments (cooler and freezer)
• Other duties as assigned

Pay Range

$19.20 - $25.90 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
