Overview

Responsibilities

As a Deli Clerk, you will help customers make healthy food choices by preparing "fresh and easy meals" and providing excellent customer service. You will arrange vegetables or sliced meats for made-to-order sandwiches, assist with catering orders, and serve our customers with your knowledge of meats, cheeses, and deli items. Food safety knowledge is essential to maintain our high standards. Opportunities for growth include learning about products, equipment, and customer service. Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and experience in grocery, restaurant, or related fields, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
• Dependable and reliable
• Outgoing, friendly, positive attitude, and good customer interaction skills
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Good communication skills, ability to take direction, and work as part of a team
• Ability to answer phones and handle special orders
• Ability to lift/carry up to 70 lbs. and work in different temperature environments
• Stand for up to 8 hours per shift
• Perform general housekeeping and operate equipment safely
• Maintain a Food Handlers permit and adhere to safety regulations
• Other duties as assigned

Pay Range

$17.45 - $23.55 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
