Job Description:

Position Summary:

This role is responsible for working independently to prepare food, fry, package, display, and stock deli products; to ensure that you contribute to the financial best interest of the store. Additionally, this role is responsible for meeting company guidelines for guest experience, as well as complying with company guidelines for safety and food safety.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

1. Prepare and produce deli products according to production planner.
2. Package and label deli products per program plan.
3. Stock backroom with deli products, rotating and dating cases/buckets.
4. Work as a team with other departments and stores to achieve growth in our SpartanNash retail stores.
5. Notify the Deli Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
6. Understand basic functions of adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
7. Communicate tasks, recipes, weights and measures, and cleaning steps completed to other associates.
8. Follow all PPE and safety guidelines.
9. Follow all food safety and cleaning expectations.
10. Follow guest experience guidelines.
11. May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience needs.
12. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
