Job summary

El Super in Salinas, CA is hiring a Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk (#36). You will help customers, stock and rotate cheese displays, and keep the deli area clean. The role supports morning shift duties and works under the Bulk Deli Manager for assigned tasks.

Expected abilities include reading pricing codes, communicating with customers, and lifting up to 60 pounds as needed. Food handler certification is required for food-related positions.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence and present information to customers and employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to follow detailed but simple instructions.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45, occasionally up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and maintain cheese and deli displays in the Bulk Deli.
• Replenish products and ensure cleanliness in the Bulk Deli area.
• Support two shifts with supervision by Bulk Deli Manager/Assistant Bulk Deli Manager.
