Job summary

Wadsworth Buehler's Fresh Foods is seeking a Deli Cook to prepare foods for our Restaurant, Deli, and Catering departments. You will work closely with your manager and teammates to ensure daily department needs are met and that all customer experiences are exceptional.

The role emphasizes following food production procedures, sanitation, and safe handling of ingredients, with opportunities to train and grow in a busy, multi-department environment.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age; or 16–17 if not operating any equipment.
• Able to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50–80 lb.
• Read recipes and follow exact measurements with minimal supervision.
• Exposure to heat, steam, fire and noise in deli/kitchen environment.
• Previous Prep Cook experience is welcome but can train new teammates.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare the department’s daily needs.
• Set up, organize, and prepare food using established production procedures.
• Comply with sanitation, health and personal hygiene standards; keep work area clean.
• Observe proper food handling techniques.
• Assist Line Cooks and Deli Department as needed.
• Store food properly with date and item labeling.
