Job summary

SpartanNash in Wauseon, OH is seeking a Bakery/Deli Associate to work independently preparing, packaging, labeling, and stocking bakery and deli products, contributing to store profitability and guest experience.

Responsibilities include following PPE and safety guidelines, maintaining product quality, coordinating with team, and assisting in merchandising and rotation. High school diploma preferred; retail experience helpful; no visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (GED) preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Basic mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and Produce Bakery/Deli Products to Production Planner.
• Package and Label Bakery/Deli Products per program plan.
• Merchandise Bakery/Deli Products per Flight plan/Merchandising Expectations.
• Stock Backroom with Bakery/Deli Products – Rotating and Dating Cases/Buckets.
• Notify the Bakery/Deli Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Understand basic functions of adding, subtracting, multiplying and division.
• Communicate tasks, recipes, weights and measures, and cleaning steps completed to other associates.
• Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines.
• Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations.
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
