Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Deli Bakery Department team member to deliver quality customer service while maintaining department standards. You will be responsible for safety, sanitation and accurate product handling in a fast-paced retail setting.

The role emphasizes learning company procedures, using inventory tools, and collaborating with fellow associates to ensure a positive shopping experience for customers across our stores.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Follow manuals for processing of product, label placement, etc.
• Ensure proper ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise per policies.
• Maintain sanitation and proper food handling in the department.
• Learn and use company tools like ACIS and CAO.
• Understand and follow company guidelines and standard practices.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
• Observe and report unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty.
• Comply with local, state and federal regulations.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with name badge and maintain a neat appearance.
• Complete CBT, Training Packet and Training Aid courses.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
