Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Deli Bakery team member to provide quality customer service in the Deli Bakery Department. You will maintain standards, maximize sales through excellent service, and minimize shrink by following standard practices.

Responsibilities include accurate product handling, ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying merchandise, and ensuring proper sanitation and safety in the department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, and accurate service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Follow technical manuals for product processing and labeling.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise adheres to policies and guidelines.
• Maintain proper sanitation of the department, equipment and food handling.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and report accidents as required.
