Job summary

Food Lion is hiring a Deli Bakery Associate to provide quality customer service in the Deli Bakery Department. You will follow standard practices, set up and display merchandise, maintain sanitation, and support store goals.

Responsibilities include fast, friendly service, accurate order handling, compliance with safety guidelines, using ACIS/CAO tools, and completing CBT training. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and strong interpersonal skills; physical requirements apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly and accurate service.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Follow manuals for product processing and labeling.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying aligns with guidelines.
• Maintain proper sanitation and safe food handling.
• Use company tools such as ACIS and CAO for inventory and ordering.
• Adhere to company policies and standard practices.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and report accidents.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with name badge and maintain neat appearance.
• Complete CBT, Training Packet and Training Aid courses.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
