Job summary

IGA Market in Cheraw, SC is seeking a part-time front-end associate to greet guests, handle product prep and maintain stock. You’ll perform light duties at the front end, announce specials, and assist with receiving and stocking merchandise.

This role emphasizes friendly service and teamwork in a fast-paced retail environment. Ideal candidates are 18+, able to lift 25 lbs regularly, and comfortable reading directions and following hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests.
• Prepare product for sale (frying, cutting, slicing, baking, weighing, and pricing).
• Maintain product level, quality and freshness.
• Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area and sales area.
• Communicate customer requests to management.
• Communicate temperature breakdowns to supervisor.
• Keep supply area neat, clean and tidy at all times.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
• Perform front end duties to insure “guest arrival” standard is maintained.
• Announce specials and sale info on the PA system.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.
