Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Food Clerk to enhance the in-store experience in our Fresh departments. You will engage customers, share product knowledge, and ensure displays are fresh and well organized.

Your role supports fast-paced operations and cross-department collaboration to keep shelves stocked and the store running smoothly. You will contribute to friendly, efficient service with a focus on safety, accuracy, and teamwork, helping customers find what they need while maintaining high standards

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or food service is helpful, but not required.
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Ability to learn and use job-specific technology.
• Comfort with physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing.
• Ability to follow safety standards and processes.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming store experience in Fresh departments.
• Share product knowledge and help customers find items.
• Maintain fresh, fully stocked, and visually appealing displays.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise products according to standards.
• Use technology to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Work across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery as needed.
