About the Job: Must be available evenings and weekends until 10pm.
Responsibilities for Candidates:
- Prepare bakery and deli items according to customer requests using proper equipment.
- Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
- Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.
- Provide customers with ordered products in the correct portion size to prevent shrinkage.
- Recommend bakery or deli items to customers based on their needs and preferences.
- Utilize bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens following company guidelines.
- Prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions.
- Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients using various utensils and equipment.
- Package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise appropriately.
- Check product quality, review "sell by" dates, and take necessary actions.
- Operate kitchen equipment including stoves, scales, fryers, steamers, and food processors.
- Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
- Report discrepancies in product ordering or shipping to the manager.
- Navigate the store layout to locate products for customers.
- Stay updated on current, upcoming, seasonal, and promotional ads.
- Maintain knowledge of products and assist customers with questions and suggestions.
- Monitor inventory and stocking conditions, noting discrepancies.
- Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers and maintain temperature logs.
- Promote trust and respect among team members.
- Create a welcoming environment for customers by providing excellent service.
- Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Adhere to safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
- Maintain a positive attitude.
- Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.
- Report customer or employee accidents and safety issues, including theft or fraud.
- Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
Qualifications for Candidates:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Excellent customer service skills.
