Job summary

Hansen's IGA Market in Tomah, WI is seeking a Deli/Bakery Associate to deliver friendly, best-in-class service at the counter and on the sales floor. You will weigh, package, and label deli and bakery items, slice meats and cheeses, and assist with salad bar preparations according to daily schedules.

You will maintain back coolers, rotate stock, and help with stocking and customer questions while upholding safety and sanitation standards in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers in the Deli/Bakery Department with excellent service.
• Slice meats and cheeses using the deli slicer.
• Weight, package, price and label deli and bakery items.
• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Take and fulfill orders in person or by phone.
• Prepare salad bar items, deli salads, pizzas, sandwiches and dips as scheduled.
• Maintain back coolers, rotate stock, and keep areas clean.
• Assist with stocking and facing of deli/bakery items.
• Maintain sanitation and temperature logs as needed.
• Operate and clean deli equipment safely.
