Job summary

Emerald Queen Casino is seeking a Deli Attendant to deliver superior guest service at the deli counter in Washington. You will serve hot and cold beverages, prepare and serve food, handle inventory, and stock counters, display coolers, the sandwich bar, and the steam table neatly and according to holding requirements.

This full-time role includes an orientation period with wage from $17.03/hr rising to $17.61/hr after 90 days, and employer-paid medical, dental, vision, and life insurance

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year counter experience required.
• Previous food handling experience required.
• Must be able to handle cash and credit card transactions.
• Must have valid Washington State food handler's card.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior guest service at the deli counter.
• Serve hot and cold beverages and prepare/serve food.
• Handle inventory and stock counters, display coolers, the sandwich bar and steam table neatly.
• Maintain cleanliness of the deli area and display equipment.
• Follow holding requirements and assist with other duties as assigned by the manager.

Job description

The Deli Attendant is responsible for providing superior guest service to casino guests while performing duties at the deli counter. Responsibilities include serving hot and cold beverages, preparing and serving food, handling inventory, and stocking counters, display coolers, the sandwich bar, and the steam table neatly and according to holding requirements. The Deli Attendant ensures all display equipment remains neat, clean, and free of debris during business hours, while maintaining the cleanliness of the deli area as needed. Additional job duties may be assigned by the department manager.

tarting wage is $17.03/hr increasing to $17.61/hr at successful completion of 90-day orientation period. The full-time position features excellent employer-paid medical, dental, vision and life insurance benefits.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required

Experience & Requirements:

• Minimum one year counter experience is required
• Previous food handling is required
• Must be able to handle cash and credit card transactions
• Must have valid Washington Statefood handler's card

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for longer than 8 hours
• Must be able to bend, reach and squat
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
• Must be able to tolerate a smoke filled environment

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to work all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidays
