Job summary

Gourmet Gang, the deli division of Trolley Hospitality Companies, is hiring part-time team members for a Monday–Friday shift at our Volvo Pkwy location in Chesapeake, VA. The role focuses on customer service, food preparation, and cash handling, with a tip pool that raises overall earnings above base pay.

We value teamwork, reliability, and a willingness to learn. Compensation starts at $14/hour with a tip pool that averages $15–$18/hour total, plus benefits for part-time staff and opportunities

Qualifications

• Experience in food service preferred.
• Comfortable discussing preparation methods and ingredients.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, high-quality customer service at the deli.
• Assist with food preparation and portioning.
• Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately.
• Keep service area clean and organized, following safety guidelines.
• Support team and adapt to variable busy periods.

About You:

What You Bring to the Table:

• Customer service experience, preferably in a food service setting
• Food prep experience
• Experience running a cash register a plus
• Able to follow directions and work independently
• Effective verbal communication skills
• Reliable transportation

The Good Stuff:

• Base pay 14/hr with tip pool guaranteed to average at least $15/hr (currently, base pay with tip pool averages between $15-$18/hr)
