Job summary

ShopRite of Route 35 & 18th Ave in Belmar, NJ is seeking an Appy/Deli Clerk to deliver great customer experiences while assisting the deli manager in daily operations. You will keep the department neat, prepare products for sale, and ensure proper pricing and stocking while adhering to safety standards.

The role requires reading, writing, and speaking English, basic math, and the ability to operate various deli equipment. Physical duties include lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long shifts.

Qualifications

• Read, write, and understand English, with ability to communicate effectively.
• Perform basic math accurately for pricing and transactions.
• Operate department equipment as required (slicer, scale, can-opener, wrapping machine, rotisserie, fryolator, cheese grater/cutter, stove/oven).
• Stand, bend, twist, and lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist Appy/Deli Manager in daily operations and maintain a neat, clean department.
• Prepare Appy/Deli products for sale and replenish stock.
• Follow procedures for receiving, dating, storing, pricing, and restocking.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and ensure quality and safety standards.
