ShopRite of Brookside Plaza in Enfield, CT is seeking an Appy/Deli Clerk to support the Appy/Deli Manager and maintain a neat, appealing department. The role focuses on excellent customer service, proper product handling, and safe, efficient operations.

Responsibilities include processing, stocking, and preparing deli products, following procedures, and ensuring accurate pricing and displays while adhering to safety standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Able to perform basic math.
• Operate department equipment as required.
• Stand, bend, reach, push, pull and lift 25 lbs regularly, up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Work in varying temperatures.
• Handle products with/allergen considerations.
• Tolerate dust and cleaning agents.
• Stand/walk for long shifts.
• Interact with customers professionally.
• Work cooperatively with others.
• Follow attendance policies.
• 18 years or older to operate certain equipment.

Responsibilities

• Use slicing machine and related equipment.
• Replenish Appy/Deli product.
• Prepare Appy/Deli product for sale.
• Follow procedures for receiving, dating, storing, and pricing.
• Handle damaged/spoiled products per policy.
• Inform manager of low inventory or spoilage.
• Maintain displays and keep them stocked and faced.
• Check refrigeration equipment performance regularly.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Unload trucks and move items up to 50 lbs.
• Promote current promotions to customers.
• Stand at work station for full shifts and overtime as needed.
• Dress according to company policy and QA standards.
• Perform department training and safe work practices.
• Observe safety, QA and health regulations.
