Delegated Authorizing Official Representative (DAO-R)

Description: Responsible for assisting in identifying the overall security requirements for the protection of data, ensuring implementation of appropriate information security controls, performing and analyzing security risk assessments, risk management, security control assessments, and awareness activities for systems and networking operations. Provide assistance to ensure cybersecurity functions are included in the configuration management process. Interact with customers, IT staff, and high‑level corporate officers to define and achieve required cybersecurity objectives for the organization. Contribute to building security architecture, integrate legacy systems, support the acquisition/RDT&E environment, and prepare security authorization documentation.

Capabilities
  • Perform security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management support activities.
  • Perform risk assessment and management to support integration of legacy systems into existing IT environment.
  • Review and analyze cybersecurity built into systems deployed to operational environments.
  • Prepare risk assessment, plan of actions, authorization recommendations, and related security authorization documentation.
  • Identify and support overall security requirements for data protection, implementing information security policies, activities, and controls.
  • Ensure cybersecurity functions are included in development and risk management processes, focusing on infrastructure protection and defensive IT strategy.
  • Facilitate interaction with customers, IT staff, and corporate officers to define and achieve required risk management objectives.
Qualifications
  • Four (4) years of experience as an IT Risk Assessor, System Security Engineer, ISSM, ISSO, or DAO in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT Engineering, or related technical field. If no degree, an additional four (4) years of experience for a total of eight (8) years.
  • Working knowledge of system security design process, defense‑in‑depth, engineering lifecycle, information domains, cross‑domain solutions, controlled interfaces, identification, authentication, authority, system integration, ICD‑503, risk management, intrusion detection, contingency planning, incident handling, configuration control, change management, auditing, security authorization process, principles of cybersecurity, and security testing.
  • DoD 8570 compliance with IAM II is required.
Security Clearance
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Other Requirements

U.S. Citizenship.

Compensation
