Introduction

The State Park Commission (now the Division of Parks and Recreation) began managing the land as Indian River State Park in 1965, but it didn't become Delaware Seashore State Park until 1967.

Summary Statement

A seasonal park position is available at Delaware Seashore State Park, including the following:

  • The Revenue Supervisor ($18.77/hr.) – responsible for overseeing all revenue aspects, including seasonal leadership of all fee booth staff, training, scheduling, administrative support in the office, and reporting to the Administrative Specialist.

Work is performed indoors and outdoors, weekends, evenings, and holidays as scheduled to meet facility needs.

Essential Functions
  • Must demonstrate accuracy in counting daily proceeds and distributing change.
  • May maintain spreadsheets for budget tracking.
  • Provide excellent customer service and park information to visitors.
  • Must demonstrate responsibility, dependability, and good communication skills.
  • Must work independently.
  • Completes daily revenue reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
  • One year of experience interpreting rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • One year of experience in office operations and functions such as operating office machines, handling mail, answering phones, directing calls, taking messages, filing, and maintaining supplies.
  • One year of experience in cash handling and writing receipts.
  • One year of experience using Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Excel, and Publisher.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, and not disqualified).
