Job summary

Distinct | North America in Wilmington, Delaware, seeks a Litigation Attorney to handle complex civil and commercial disputes in a flexible hybrid setting, with exposure to Delaware Chancery and corporate litigation.

You will draft pleadings, take depositions, appear in state and federal courts, and work directly with clients to assess risk and develop case strategy, with mentorship and advancement opportunities and a broad compensation range.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Delaware Bar admission or a clear path to admission.
• 2+ years of litigation experience.
• Strong legal research, writing and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines independently.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex civil and commercial disputes
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs and discovery
• Take and defend depositions
• Appear in Delaware state and federal courts
• Support matters before the Delaware Court of Chancery where relevant
• Attend mediations, arbitrations and settlement conferences
• Work directly with clients to assess risk and develop case strategy
• Prepare cases for trial and participate in hearings and trials

Skills
