Job summary

The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) is offering a Summer Internship in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Chicago. The 12-week program runs May–August or June–September, with up to 40 hours/week in a hybrid setup.

Interns support DEI initiatives, communications, and community engagement while gaining real-world experience in financial services. Candidates should be enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies, with strong written/verbal skills and a curiosity about corporate processes.

Qualifications

• Desired majors include Communications, Marketing, Organizational Development/Change, Business or Liberal Arts.
• Open to Political Science, Sociology, or related social science majors given the process and stakeholder-analysis focus.

Responsibilities

• Process Improvement Project: document current DEI workflows and identify opportunities to reduce manual effort.
• ENG Support: provide administrative and engagement support to Employee Networking Groups.
• Communications Support: assist with content development for inclusive storytelling campaigns across internal channels.
• Community Impact Support: help nonprofit partnerships and community initiatives as capacity allows.
