Job summary

Plymouth State University invites qualified applicants for the Degree Completion Advisor role. This position conducts degree reviews and junior audits to map time to degree and ensures accurate advising for all students including readmitted, study away, and transfer students.

You will manage an advising caseload, coordinate with academic programs, guide course selections, and support the Academic Affairs Committee.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in advising, higher education, HR or related field.
• Experience coaching and advising students.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with various technology platforms including Microsoft Office Suite and student database software.

Responsibilities

• Review juniors' records to outline completed and outstanding requirements.
• Collaborate with advisors and programs to provide accurate progress information.
• Advise on course adjustments, substitutions, or retakes as needed.
• Monitor degree program changes.
• Assist undeclared and transfer students with academic planning.
• Oversee advisor assignments for undergraduates.
• Support readmitted, study away, and past inactive students.
