Role Description:
We are hiring a DeFi Quantitative Yield Architect (Remote, US) to design, evaluate, and optimize quantitative yield strategies across decentralized finance and digital asset markets.
This role combines quantitative research, DeFi strategy design, portfolio optimization, risk management, and on-chain analytics to identify sustainable risk-adjusted yield opportunities and develop scalable capital deployment strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Design quantitative yield strategies across DeFi lending, liquidity provision, staking, vaults, and other blockchain-native financial markets.
- Research and evaluate DeFi protocols, liquidity pools, yield opportunities, and emerging financial primitives.
- Develop quantitative models for yield optimization, portfolio allocation, risk-adjusted returns, and capital efficiency.
- Build and backtest systematic DeFi strategies using historical market and on-chain data.
- Analyze liquidity, utilization rates, borrowing costs, incentive structures, volatility, and protocol performance.
- Monitor live DeFi positions, portfolio exposures, yield performance, drawdowns, and liquidity conditions.
- Develop portfolio optimization and capital allocation frameworks across multiple protocols and digital assets.
- Evaluate smart-contract, oracle, bridge, counterparty, liquidation, and protocol-specific risks.
- Research opportunities involving stablecoins, tokenized assets, automated market makers, lending markets, and decentralized exchanges.
- Develop scenario analysis, stress tests, and risk models for DeFi portfolios.
- Track changes in protocol incentives, governance decisions, tokenomics, and market structure that may affect strategy performance.
- Build dashboards and analytical tools for monitoring yield, risk, liquidity, and portfolio performance.
- Collaborate with blockchain engineers, investment professionals, finance teams, and strategic leadership.
- Prepare quantitative research reports, strategy recommendations, and performance analyses for senior stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Strong quantitative background in mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in quantitative research, systematic trading, portfolio optimization, DeFi, asset management, or financial engineering.
- Deep understanding of DeFi protocols, liquidity pools, lending markets, staking, AMMs, and yield-generating strategies.
- Strong knowledge of digital asset markets, blockchain infrastructure, tokenomics, and on-chain financial mechanisms.
- Experience building quantitative models, backtesting strategies, and analyzing financial or blockchain datasets.
- Strong Python skills; experience with SQL, R, or other quantitative programming languages is a plus.
- Experience with blockchain analytics platforms, on-chain data, DEX data, and DeFi dashboards.
- Understanding of risk-adjusted returns, volatility, drawdowns, VaR, stress testing, and portfolio risk management.
- Ability to evaluate protocol mechanics and translate them into quantitative investment models.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex quantitative concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage research and strategy-development priorities in a remote environment.

Compensation:
This position offers a salary range of $130,000-180,000 USD per year depending on quantitative experience, DeFi expertise, programming skills, and financial strategy experience.
