Job summary

Aleut Federal is seeking a highly qualified Defensive Cyber Warfare (DCW) Subject Matter Expert (SME) / Instructor to support the 537 TRS Officer Training Course. The role focuses on delivering engaging instruction, developing realistic hands-on scenarios, and ensuring curriculum alignment with DoD requirements.

The candidate will leverage deep cyber ops experience across network defense, incident response, and threat analysis to prepare students for evolving cyber threats.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Assurance, or closely related field.
• Minimum of six years of relevant professional experience in cybersecurity, defensive cyber operations, network defense, incident response, or security operations.
• Ability to translate complex cybersecurity concepts to audiences with varying technical backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom-based and hands-on instruction covering Defensive Cyber Warfare principles, methodologies, tools, and procedures.
• Develop, review, validate, and update instructional materials per ISD principles.
• Create realistic cyber range environments and practical exercises.
• Evaluate student performance through assessments and hands-on demonstrations.
• Collaborate with instructional designers and other SMEs to enhance training effectiveness.
