Job summary

Quantum Sky is seeking a Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) SME to support US Space Force SPICES, providing expertise to improve proficiency and operational effectiveness of Cyber Squadron personnel. The role covers intrusion detection, threat analysis, and development of DCO materials for mission success.

The position requires active CSSP Analyst/Incident Responder certifications, hands-on experience with SIEM and endpoint protection, and a track record in cyber defense across space mission

Qualifications

• Minimum of six (6) years of Cyber Security Analyst work experience (or equivalent).
• Experience including Cybersecurity Monitoring; Intrusion Detection and Cyber Incident Response.
• Familiarity with Space Operations is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Develop operational and technical materials to aid in increasing proficiency of the crews.
• Provide cyber defense remediation and mitigation implementation recommendations in support of all incidents/events.
• Support Operational Planning Teams (OPTs) and crew shift planning processes; participate in planning, COA recommendations, and validate technical approaches.
• Draft and validate accuracy of DCO TTPs, SOPs, and OIs; create squadron level materials and reviews.
• Analyze new DCO-Space capability releases and inform employment for mission execution.
• Attend meetings and VTCs at various clearance levels as required.
• Provide recommendations for exercises and mission rehearsals; maintain proficiency by performing DCO crew operations.
• Provide input on Cyber Incident Response best practices and optimize DCO-Space capabilities (signatures, rules, policies).
• Assist in identifying baseline activity by monitoring and analyzing logs; support MRT-C identification and mapping.
• Contribute to post-incident analysis and lessons learned processes.
