Job summary

SENTINEL GROUP LLC is seeking a Defense Travel Administrator (DTA) to provide administrative and technical support for the Defense Travel System (DTS) in USARCENT G-8 operations. You will process travel authorizations, vouchers, and maintenance tasks while ensuring compliance with JTR and DTMO guidance.

The role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with various government personnel to resolve travel discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of experience supporting the Defense Travel System (DTS) or comparable DoD travel programs.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) and DoD travel policies.
• Experience processing DTS travel authorizations, vouchers, amendments, local vouchers, and profile maintenance actions.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 customer support for DTS users via telephone, email, or in person.
• Review travel authorizations, vouchers, and local vouchers for completeness and compliance with JTR.
• Assist travelers with DTS profile creation, GTCC information updates, and LOA validation.
• Verify supporting documentation and funding information before approval routing.
• Coordinate with travelers, AOs, Certifying Officers, DFAS, and others to resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor document status and help resolve rejected travel documents.
• Support travel advances, split disbursement, and voucher corrections.
• Maintain travel records per regulations and retention requirements.
• Assist with CBA reconciliation and identify travel-related financial discrepancies.
• Generate recurring DTS reports for Lead DTA and government personnel.
• Onboard and train new DTS users with basic guidance.
