Job summary
L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineering Specialist in Carlsbad, CA to develop and support tactical communication systems. You will perform requirements management, design reviews, and trade studies, coordinating across multi-disciplinary teams to align system requirements with product roadmaps.
The role requires a bachelor’s in electrical engineering (or a graduate degree with experience) or equivalent experience, and willingness to travel up to 20%.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 4+ years of experience; or Graduate Degree with 2+ years; or 8+ years with no degree.
- Proven ability translating end-user needs to verifiable system requirements.
- Experience with system design, trade studies, requirements management and test.
Responsibilities
- Perform core Systems Engineering tasks including baselines, trade studies and requirements management.
- Participate in technical briefings, design reviews and documentation reviews.
- Translate end-user needs into verifiable system requirements.
- Coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams to align requirements with product roadmaps.
- Support development of complex system designs and service delivery.
- Develop concept of operations, design and implementation plans.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to customers.
- Travel up to 20%.
