Job summary

WITTENSTEIN North America seeks a Systems Engineer to join the WITTENSTEIN Motion Control (WMC) Inc. division, designing and manufacturing high-fidelity control loading systems for defense applications.

The role covers signal integration, PID tuning, PCB layout, and documentation within a small engineering team. Responsibilities include software maintenance, cross-system integration, proposal support, and on-site or remote troubleshooting.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical or Software Engineering.
Experience in defense/aerospace is preferred.
At least three years relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

Maintenance and support of motor control simulation software.
Assist in integrating motor control, CAN Bus, EtherCAT, and Ethernet loops with customer software.
Tune control loading systems to customer requirements.
Troubleshoot issues on-site or remotely from the WMC Inc. facility.
Optimize systems and identify potential improvements.
Assist in proposal writing.
PCB layout design, optimization, and testing.
Produce system architecture documentation (block diagrams, schematics, pin outs, ICDs).
Support trade shows.
