Job summary

AST SpaceMobile is seeking a Program Director to lead a mission-critical U.S. Government program. You will own the customer relationship, manage schedule and risk, and coordinate with Systems Engineering, Space, Launch, Ground, and Mission Operations to ensure on-time, on-cost delivery.

Based in the Washington, DC area, you will oversee reviews, reporting, and security obligations, while standing up PMO processes for a growing defense portfolio.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of program management experience in aerospace/defense.
• Direct experience with firm-fixed-price, milestone-based government or prime/subcontract programs.
• PMP certification and DoD cost/schedule reporting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary program lead and customer point of contact.
• Maintain an Integrated Master Schedule and provide monthly status reports.
• Build and manage a program risk registry and drive mitigations.
• Lead in-person program reviews and government briefings in the DC area.
• Ensure compliance with cost/schedule reporting and OPSEC obligations.
• Supervise and mentor program management staff.
• Coordinate across Systems Engineering, Space, Launch, Ground, and Mission Operations.
• Support proposal development and ROM estimating, grow the program portfolio.
