Job summary

Lyntris is a defense technology company that connects sensing to action across the connected battlespace. This Software Engineer II role is a full-time onsite position in San Diego, CA, requiring an active U.S. security clearance to support DoD software systems used by Navy warfighters.

You will design, implement, and test containerized web applications, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with experts across Java, Groovy, and Kotlin within a Linux environment.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. national security clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Associate degree or higher in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years in software development.
• Familiarity with Java, Groovy, Kotlin, or another OOP language.
• Comfortable working in Linux environments.
• Experience with building tools like Gradle or Maven.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and implement innovative technologies for automating, integrating, and delivering containerized web applications and services for the DoD in an orchestrated and controlled manner.
• Day-to-day efforts include working with highly talented professionals and subject matter experts to design, implement, and sustain mission-critical software systems that provide US Navy warfighters with tools and resources for successfully planning and executing missions.
• Learn and contribute to development tasks in Java, Groovy, Kotlin, and/or front-end frameworks.
• Conduct manual and exploratory testing to ensure quality across a range of software systems.
• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and traceability to requirements.
• Support efforts to enhance automation, CI/CD pipelines, and container orchestration.
