Job summary

SMX is seeking a strong SAP Transportation Management (TM) expert on S/4HANA to support future-state design validation sessions for the Navy’s Plan-to-Stock team. This person will shape the to-be design and the future-state connection between Navy SAP TM and JTMS.

The role emphasizes leading design sessions, reviewing current-state processes, and translating validated business needs into SAP TM capabilities, with a focus on transport, planning, execution, and freight settlement.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field (supply chain, logistics, IT, or engineering).
Hands-on SAP TM design experience in SAP S/4HANA, future-state process design.
Ability to lead design sessions mapping Navy needs to SAP TM capabilities.
Experience designing SAP TM with external transportation systems (JTMS focus).
Strong facilitation skills with business and technical stakeholders.
Minimum Secret DoD clearance required.

Responsibilities

Lead and actively participate in future-state design validation sessions with Navy P2S stakeholders, functional leads, system integrator personnel, logistics SMEs, technical teams, and related JTMS stakeholders.
Review current-state transportation and stock-replenishment processes, identify operational pain points and gaps, and translate validated business needs into practical SAP S/4HANA TM future-state capabilities.
Shape the end-to-end to-be design for transportation processes supporting Plan-to-Stock activities, from transportation demand through planning, execution, tracking/visibility, freight settlement, and downstream financial or inventory impacts.
Define how SAP S/4HANA TM should support transportation requirements.
