Job summary

Northeastern University seeks an experienced Research Program Manager to oversee a DoD-funded initiative and related institute portfolios in the metro-Boston area and nationwide. The role reports to the Associate Director of Research and coordinates with prime stakeholders to ensure timely deliverables.

The position requires US citizenship, PMP or equivalent experience, and a bachelor’s degree (graduate degree preferred).

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required by federal funding.
• PMP or relevant project management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree; graduate degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of DoD program/contract management.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide program and portfolio management for multiple institute portfolios.
• Create systems and manage milestones, deliverables, effort, and timelines.
• Coordinate with faculty, staff, and sponsors for program execution.
• Assist with proposals, budgets, and contracts for new research.
• Travel as needed for initiative events and outreach.
