Job summary

CNA is hiring Research Analysts for the Advanced Technology Assessments division located at NAS Pt. Mugu, CA and Edwards AFB, CA. The role involves leading small studies, developing analytic frameworks, and delivering data-driven assessments of defense technologies.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in STEM (PhD preferred) with 0+ years (PhD) or 2+ years (Master’s) in research/analysis. Active final Secret clearance is required; relocation assistance provided.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in STEM, aeronautical engineering or equivalent experience; PhD preferred.
• PhD & 0+ years or Master's & 2+ years of experience in research and analysis.
• Ability to contribute to projects, analytic creativity, and independent work in multi-disciplinary settings.

Responsibilities

• Meet CNA quality standards on well-structured pieces with minimal guidance.
• Develop broad knowledge of primary clients and issues.
• Collaborate respectfully with colleagues and identify collaboration opportunities.
• Support business development and marketing through client relations and proposals.
• Interact with sponsors/clients under supervision and with study POCs independently.
• Contribute to research publications and analytic products for projects.
• Present results clearly and concisely to colleagues and sponsors.
