Job summary

Lex Products' Davie, Florida site seeks a hands-on Senior Quality Manager to rebuild the Quality Management System, lead AS9100 re-certification, and restore QPL status. This is a build role with direct exposure to the VP of Defense Operations and the CEO.

You will own quality across operations, engineering, and contracts, lead audits, drive corrective actions, and mentor a growing team to deliver military-grade quality.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of quality experience in aerospace/defense manufacturing.
• 5+ years leading quality teams.
• Experience implementing or restoring AS9100 and leading registrar audits.
• Direct experience with defense customers, prime contractors, and auditors.
• U.S. person as defined under ITAR.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the AS9100 Quality Management System and related procedures.
• Serve as primary quality contact for customers, prime contractors, auditors, and government representatives.
• Run internal audits, management reviews, and MRB.
• Lead root cause and corrective/preventive actions; close customer escapes and audit findings.
• Own first article inspection (AS9102) and final acceptance.
• Lead supplier quality: qualification, performance monitoring, and corrective action.
• Establish counterfeit parts prevention controls meeting defense requirements.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Contracts to hit quality goals.
• Develop and coach the quality team and build a culture of ownership and accountability.
