Job summary

CFD Research Corporation, based in Huntsville, Alabama, is seeking a Program Financial Analyst to support the financial management and execution of large defense programs. You will work closely with Program Managers, technical leads, contracts, and finance personnel to provide accurate and timely analysis of program financial performance.

Qualifications

• Experience with government contract types (FFP, Cost Plus, T&M, OTA).
• Experience in program financial management, EAC/ETC forecasting, earned value concepts or project controls.
• Strong financial and quantitative analysis skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to develop and maintain detailed financial forecasts and reporting models.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies or trends in financial data.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to financial and non-financial stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced program environment.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain the security clearance required for the program.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial analysis and reporting for large defense programs, including costs, budgets, forecasts, and performance.
• Develop and maintain program financial forecasts (ETC/EAC).
• Monitor burn rates, FTE utilization, funding, and expenditures.
• Analyze budget-to-actual and forecast-to-actual variances and communicate impacts.
• Develop and maintain financial trackers, dashboards, and reporting tools.
• Prepare financial data and charts for PMRs and reviews.
• Collaborate with PMs to update labor and cost forecasts across tasks.
• Analyze staffing trends to align execution with plans.
• Support revenue, cost, profit/margin analysis and program performance.
• Conduct baseline development and forecasting exercises for funding modifications.
