Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead concept development, planning, budgeting, and activation of a new defense manufacturing facility in the Huntsville area. The role requires coordinating with stakeholders to define the facility's operation, layout, and material flow and to support PCBAs and electro-mechanical assemblies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Aeronautical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with 4-8 years of prior relevant work experience.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing environment preferred.
• Proficiency in writing clear and concise work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Define facility CONOPS, layout, material flow, tooling/equipment requirements, and inventory approach.
• Support production of PCBA and electromechanical assemblies and systems.
• Review engineering drawings, BOMs, customer quality requirements and work instructions; participate in design reviews.
• Work with the design team to finalize details for release to manufacturing and collaborate with QA to validate processes.
