Job summary

SURVICE Engineering is seeking a Laboratory Scientist (Chemist, Physicist, Materials Scientist) to support our Ashburn, VA operations, performing lab testing, data collection, and documentation for defense-related programs.

Responsibilities include planning and executing tests, developing SOPs and reports, analyzing data, maintaining calibration and inventory records, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams; U.S. citizenship and active Secret clearance required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 0+ years of relevant experience. Exceptional candidates with less experience will be considered.
• Ability to assist with laboratory and field test planning, execution, observation, and reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Support laboratory operations, including preparation for testing, sample handling, equipment setup, data collection, and records maintenance.
• Assist in planning, executing, and documenting laboratory tests and field tests for interdiction technologies.
• Develop and review test plans, SOPs, reports, and technical procedures.
• Analyze laboratory and field data; summarize findings and provide recommendations for government review and decision making.
