B&A is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Defense Logistics Agency in Dayton, Ohio. The role focuses on provisioning, operating, and maintaining complex database infrastructures and related systems, with emphasis on security, availability, and regulatory compliance.

You will participate in planning, documentation, and technical research to drive continuous infrastructure improvement. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in engineering, DoD IT experience, and certifications in SQL Server and

Qualifications

Five years of professional engineering experience.
Minimum five years working with DoD IT systems.
Experience in database architecture, replication, security and DR/COOP strategies.

Responsibilities

Provision, operate, install/ configure and maintain systems hardware and software.
Provide technical guidance and hands-on delivery for database planning and operation.
Participate in R&D to enable ongoing infrastructure innovation.
Ensure hardware, OS, software and procedures meet organizational and regulatory standards.
Document specifications, project plans, configurations, test plans and results.
Convey project objectives and status to project teams.
