Job summary

B&A seeks a Systems Engineer to support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Enterprise Database Infrastructure Services in Dayton, Ohio. The role requires DoD IT experience, DoD 8570 IAT II certification, and a current Secret clearance.

Anticipated start Feb 2027 with a base year plus option years. Responsibilities include provisioning, operation, and ongoing maintenance of databases and related infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of professional engineering experience.
• At least five years with DLA IT systems.
• Experience in database/app server implementations and planning.

Responsibilities

• Provision, operate, install/configure and maintain systems hardware/software infrastructure.
• Provide technical support and hands-on delivery for database planning and operation.
• Participate in R&D to enable ongoing infrastructure innovation.
• Ensure systems meet regulatory requirements and documented procedures.
• Document specifications, project plans, configurations and test results.
• Communicate objectives, scope and status to project teams.
