Job summary

CAE USA Inc. seeks an IT Specialist (Programmer/Operator) to support the CAE training systems environment by maintaining central servers, workstations, and desktop apps.

You will manage hardware, software, cloud services, cybersecurity controls, data management, and learning platforms, ensuring compliance with DoD standards and security policies. The role requires five or more years in IT, a relevant degree, and eligibility for DoD clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in MIS/CS/IT or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Information Technology or related environments.
• U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility.
• Ability to obtain IAT Level III certification within six months of probationary period.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud).

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage secure cloud environments in alignment with NIST, ISO 27001, FedRAMP.
• Administer systems connected to secure government networks and enforce cybersecurity requirements.
• Configure IAM, MFA and RBAC for cloud and on‑prem systems.
• Implement security controls including IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing; mitigate risks.
• Manage networking infrastructure (firewalls, VPNs, load balancers).
• Maintain security incident response plans and monitoring for threats.
