Job summary

Valinor Dispatch is building ruggedized UxS charging infrastructure for defense use. We seek a Software Engineer to develop software for next-generation autonomous systems support platforms in austere environments.

You will implement full-stack features, build responsive front-ends for real-time situational awareness, and develop backend services and data pipelines to support telemetry and mission workflows. A strong interest in defense software and secure coding is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS or related field.
• 1+ years full-stack software development with modern front-end and back-end tech.
• OSi model basics and networking (TCP/UDP/sockets).
• Experience with real-time data visualization or mapping.
• Familiarity with tactical data standards (ATAK/TAK) – optional.
• Understanding of containers and cloud services (Docker/Kubernetes, AWS/Azure).
• Git and CI/CD experience.
• Willingness to learn defense software processes and secure coding.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain features across the full stack for C2 applications, including web UIs, backend services, and data layers.
• Build responsive front-end components for real-time situational awareness and asset management.
• Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and data pipelines for telemetry ingestion and workflows.
• Assist in integrating C2 software with tactical systems and interoperability standards.
• Debug and troubleshoot networking and data-flow issues across the stack.
• Collaborate with autonomy, robotics, and systems teams to surface vehicle status and control interfaces.
• Support verification, validation, and testing activities including simulations and integration tests.
• Contribute to API specs and ICDs in line with defense standards.
